Dip thermo Plastic Coating for C section steel channel
Process Principle
Dip thermo Plastic Coating for C section steel channel is a surface protection treatment process. The C section steel that has undergone pretreatment (usually undergoing cleaning processes such as derusting and degreasing to ensure that the steel surface is clean and has a good adhesion foundation) is immersed in a fluidized bed or dip plastic tank filled with specially made dip plastic powder coatings. Under heating and other conditions, the dip plastic powder coatings will evenly adhere to the surface of the C-shaped steel. After a series of processes such as leveling and curing, a continuous, dense plastic coating with multiple excellent properties is formed.
Advantages
- Good Anti-corrosion Performance:
The plastic coating formed by dip plastic coating can isolate the C section steel from contact with external corrosive media (such as moisture in the air, acidic gases like sulfur dioxide, and chemical acid-base solutions in some special environments). It effectively prevents the steel from rusting and being corroded, greatly extending the service life of the C-shaped steel. In application scenarios such as outdoor facilities and industrial plants, it can significantly reduce maintenance costs.
- Aesthetics:
There are various colors available for dip plastic powders. After dip plastic coating treatment, the C section steel not only has a protective function but also looks more beautiful in appearance. It can meet the needs for color matching in different architectural styles and decorative scenes. For example, in some landscape buildings and modern agricultural greenhouses, colored dip plastic-coated C-section steel is used to make them blend better into the surrounding environment.
- Environmental Protection:
Compared with some traditional surface protection treatment processes (such as hot-dip galvanizing, which may generate a lot of wastewater, waste gas, and heavy metal pollution), the dip plastic coating process is relatively more environmentally friendly. As long as the use and recycling of dip plastic powders are properly managed during the entire production process, relatively fewer pollutants are generated, which conforms to the current concept of green and environmental protection.
Application Fields
- Construction Field:
In the construction industry, dip plastic-coated C section steel is often used as components such as purlins and girts in light steel structures, such as in the construction of light steel villas and simple factory buildings. It can not only provide structural support but also resist the erosion of the external environment with the protection of the dip plastic layer.
- Transportation Facilities:
Many guardrails on highways and railways are made of dip plastic-coated C section steel. Its anti-corrosion performance ensures that the guardrails can still maintain good structural integrity under long-term exposure to wind, sunlight, rain, and snow outdoors. Moreover, the beautiful appearance of the dip plastic coating also makes them an attractive sight beside the roads.
- Warehousing and Logistics:
Warehouse storage racks made of dip plastic-coated C section steel can prevent surface damage caused by collisions and friction during the loading and unloading of goods. At the same time, it can avoid the steel from rusting due to being in a warehousing environment with a certain humidity for a long time, ensuring the long-term stability and reliability of the racks and guaranteeing warehousing safety.
